STATEMENT BY THE CICA TURKISH CHAIRMANSHIP ON THE
EARTHQUAKE AND TSUNAMI DISASTER IN JAPAN 17 March 2011
The CICA Turkish Chairmanship expresses its heartfelt sorrow to Japan, a CICA Observer State, for the loss of lives and heavy damage occurred as a result of the massive earthquake and tsunami that hit the Northeast of the country on 11 March 2011. The Chairmanship is following with concern the incident relating to the nuclear power plant.
The CICA Turkish Chairmanship conveys its deepest condolences and sympathies to the people of Japan and encourages all member and observer states of CICA to provide assistance and to extend support to the Japanese Government in its struggle to recover the wounds of the disaster.
